Understanding Credits
The Contractor Portal uses a prepaid credit system. You purchase or are allocated credits, and bookings are deducted from your balance.
One credit covers one hour of booking time (with a one-credit minimum per booking).
How Credits Work
- The practice can allocate credits when they set up your account
- You can purchase additional credits through the portal
- When you make a booking, one credit per hour is deducted from your balance
- If a booking is cancelled, its credits are automatically refunded
Viewing Your Balance
Your current credit balance is shown on the Dashboard and the Credits tab. It updates as bookings are made or cancelled.
Purchasing Credits
- Go to the Credits tab
- Choose a credit package — some include bonus credits — or enter a custom number of credits (from 10 up to 1,000, in multiples of 10). The exact price in AUD is shown before you pay
- Click Pay — you'll be taken to a secure card checkout
- Credits are added to your balance as soon as the payment completes
A GST tax invoice is generated automatically for every purchase — see Viewing Invoices.
Custom top-ups are priced from the practice's credit packages. If the practice hasn't set up any packages, custom top-up is unavailable and the portal will say so — contact the practice about purchasing credits.
Credit Adjustments
The practice can also adjust your credits manually (for example, to correct an error or apply a promotional credit). You will see these adjustments in your credit history with a note explaining the reason.
