Essential Notification Safeguards

Some security, privacy and clinical-safety notification categories cannot be switched off in Praxi's preference settings. These are product safeguards; a locked setting does not establish that legislation requires every individual message or that a notification is guaranteed to arrive.

Essential notification categories

Depending on the enabled service, locked categories include security alerts, exceptional-access notices, credential and registration warnings, clinical risk alerts, care-ending notifications, privacy-breach notices and unsubscribe confirmation. The settings interface identifies which categories are locked. Pathway has separate programme notices outside the core practice-app scope.

What a locked setting means

An off preference does not suppress a locked category. Recipient authority, privacy, service configuration and delivery controls still apply. Practices must maintain clinical escalation and continuity arrangements; an absent alert is not evidence that a clinical risk is absent.

Legal notification and reporting duties must be assessed for the actual event. An in-product alert does not itself satisfy every regulator, patient or other notification requirement, and a delivery receipt does not prove it was read.

Records access during a subscription change

Expired trials and inactive subscriptions retain authorised access to existing records and exports, together with account security and audit controls. They do not retain new clinical writes or paid AI, transcription, SMS or ordinary practice automation. Student learning access is a separate verified programme.

Subscription expiry does not determine when clinical records may lawfully be destroyed. Applicable retention, custody, handover and legal holds remain separate from subscription access.
