iOS Practitioner App

The Praxi Practitioner App brings your schedule, clinical notes, messaging, and AI assistants to iPhone and iPad. It is designed for practitioners who need quick access between sessions or while away from the desktop.

Downloading the App

Search for Praxi Practitioner in the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. Tap Get to install. The app requires iOS 17.0 or later. iPad users benefit from a sidebar navigation layout that makes the most of the larger screen.

Signing In

  1. Enter your practice email address.
  2. Enter your password (the same credentials you use on the web).
  3. If multi-factor authentication is enabled for your account, complete the MFA challenge.
  4. The app loads your organisation context automatically -- no practice code required.
Stay Signed In If your device has Face ID or Touch ID enrolled, Praxi

offers biometric login automatically on the sign-in screen — you can also set a PIN for quick unlock. :::

The app uses a five-tab bar — Home, Calendar, Praxi (AI), Clients, and More:

  • Home -- Your daily dashboard with greeting, quick stats, today's schedule, unsigned notes alerts, waiting room status, and pending tasks.
  • Calendar -- Day, week, and month views of your appointment schedule.
  • Praxi -- The ochre AI tab in the centre of the bar.
  • Clients -- Searchable list of your client caseload.
  • More -- Your profile card, plus access to clinical notes, assessments, forms, documents, safety and risk tools, behaviour support, waiting room, approvals, tasks, triage queue, Team chat, billing, supervision, CPD, resources, security, and settings. Voice transcription is started from within the note editor.

The Praxi tab opens a full-screen AI chat powered by the Praxi orchestrator, which routes your queries to the most appropriate AI agent automatically.

On iPad, the app switches to a sidebar navigation layout rather than a tab bar.

Global Search Tap the magnifying glass icon on the Home screen to

open the global search overlay. Search across clients, appointments, notes, tasks, and other records from a single search field. The practitioner app also includes a Command Palette for executing common actions quickly without navigating through menus. :::

Home Screen

The Home tab provides a snapshot of your day:

  • Greeting header -- Personalised greeting based on the time of day.
  • Quick stats -- At-a-glance counts for today's appointments, unsigned notes, and pending tasks.
  • Quick actions -- Buttons for starting a new note, creating a task, or other frequent operations.
  • Waiting room -- Real-time status showing clients who have checked in.
  • Unsigned notes alert -- Warning banner when notes are approaching the AHPRA 24-hour signing deadline.
  • Today's schedule -- Upcoming appointments with client name, time, and session type.
  • Pending tasks -- Tasks requiring your attention.
  • Notifications bell -- Tap the bell icon in the toolbar to view notifications, with an unread count badge.

Push Notifications

Praxi sends push notifications for key events. You can customise which notifications you receive in Settings > Notifications within the app.

Notification preferences are organised into five groups:

GroupCovers
ClinicalAppointment reminders, risk flags, cancellations
Praxi AISuggestion ready, daily brief
Team & messagesMentions, direct messages, channel activity
PracticeBilling, Medicare claims, compliance due dates
DeliveryWhether each arrives by push, email, or SMS

To enable push notifications, allow Praxi to send notifications when prompted on first launch. If you previously denied the prompt, go to iOS Settings > Praxi Practitioner > Notifications to re-enable.

Tap the magnifying glass icon on the Home screen to open the global search overlay. Search across clients, appointments, notes, tasks, and other records from a single search field. Results are grouped by type for quick navigation.

Offline Access

The app caches your upcoming schedule and recent client summaries for offline viewing. Note drafts created offline are queued and synchronised when connectivity is restored. An offline banner appears at the top of the screen when connectivity is lost.

Privacy and Security All cached data is encrypted on-device using iOS

Data Protection. No clinical information is stored in iCloud or accessible to other apps. :::
