Connection Security

Data Protection

All integrations use:

  • Encrypted connections (TLS 1.3)
  • OAuth 2.0 where supported
  • Secure credential storage
  • Audit logging

Permission Scopes

Praxi requests minimum necessary permissions:

  • Read/write invoices
  • Read/write contacts
  • Read financial data
  • No delete permissions (where possible)

Credential Management

  • API keys encrypted at rest
  • OAuth tokens refreshed automatically
  • Revoke access anytime
  • No passwords stored

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Verify credentials are current
  3. Re-authorise if expired
  4. Check for service outages

Sync Errors

  1. View sync log at Settings → Integrations → [Name] → Logs
  2. Check error details
  3. Fix data issues
  4. Retry sync

Data Mismatch

  1. Identify discrepancy source
  2. Check sync direction
  3. Verify mapping settings
  4. Manual reconciliation if needed

Managing Integrations

Viewing Status

At a glance:

  • Last sync time
  • Records synced
  • Errors (if any)
  • Connection health

Pausing Integration

Temporarily stop syncing:

  1. Go to integration settings
  2. Toggle Pause Sync
  3. Data won't sync until resumed
  4. Resume anytime

Disconnecting

To remove an integration:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → [Name]
  2. Click Disconnect
  3. Confirm action
  4. Credentials removed
  5. Historical data preserved in Praxi
Disconnecting

Disconnecting removes the connection but does not delete synced data in either system. Re-connecting may create duplicates if not handled carefully.

Best Practices

  1. Test first - Use test accounts before production
  2. One source of truth - Avoid creating records in both systems
  3. Regular checks - Review sync status weekly
  4. Keep updated - Re-authorise when prompted
  5. Document setup - Record configuration for team
