Calendar on iOS
The Praxi calendar on iOS gives you full scheduling visibility from your phone or tablet. View appointments in day, week, or month views, sync to Apple Calendar, and navigate your schedule with ease.
View Modes
Use the segmented control at the top of the calendar to switch between three views:
Day View
Displays a vertical timeline from 7 AM to 8 PM with colour-coded appointment blocks. Each block shows the client name, time range, service type, and appointment status. Tap any appointment to view full details.
Week View
Shows each day of the week as a card with its appointments listed below. The current day is highlighted with the Praxi ochre accent. Tap a day card to select it, or tap an individual appointment for details. An appointment count appears beside each day's heading.
Month View
Displays a traditional calendar grid with dots indicating days that have appointments (up to three dots per day). Tap a day to select it, and the appointments for that day appear below the grid. Today's date is circled in ochre.

- Time range and duration
- Session type (in-person, telehealth, or phone), shown with a colour-coded indicator

Apple Calendar Sync
Tap the sync icon in the top toolbar to export your appointments to Apple Calendar. If your practice has server-managed calendar sync enabled (via Praxi Connect), the app will inform you that sync happens automatically and no manual action is needed.
When syncing manually, the app requests access to your device calendar. All loaded appointments are written as events to Apple Calendar.
Settings > Praxi Practitioner > Calendars** and enable access. :::
Pre-Session Brief
When you open an upcoming appointment, the app can display an AI-generated pre-session brief to help you prepare before the client arrives. The brief includes:
- Recent history and previous notes — a summary of the client's recent sessions and clinical documentation
- Funding context — current funding source and session utilisation
- Alliance score — therapeutic alliance tracking from recent sessions
- Risk alerts — any active risk flags or safety concerns
- Praxi summary — a summary of recorded history and key themes from your notes
- Focus areas — the client's recorded goals and active themes
Real-Time Updates
The calendar listens for real-time updates via WebSocket. When appointments are created, modified, or cancelled by other staff members, your calendar refreshes automatically. You can also pull down on the calendar to manually refresh.
