Report Generation
Praxi’s Reports hub brings together operational reports for financial performance, clinical activity, practice operations, and compliance. Open Reports from the main navigation. Most reports run on demand with a date range; many can be exported as CSV, PDF, or Excel. You can also schedule a subset of reports for automatic email delivery, and pin favourites for quick access.
How the hub is organised
The left-hand sections (or mobile menu) are:
| Section | What you get | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Financial | GST summary, unpaid invoices aging, revenue by service, payment methods | On-hub cards with export |
| Clinical | No-shows / cancellations, appointment utilisation, note completion, demographics, retention, inactive clients | On-hub |
| Practice | Birthdays, client sources, membership / package expiry, AI usage, recurring expiry, session packs | On-hub |
| Compliance | MHCP session tracking, mandatory reports, referral SLA | On-hub |
| Export | Batch export helpers for report data | On-hub |
| Voice Analytics | Opens the voice transcription analytics area | Linked destination |
| Growth | Opens growth analytics | Linked destination |
| Insights | Opens insights | Linked destination |
Deeper tax and payroll-style packs (full BAS, super guarantee, WorkCover, tax return style summaries, contractor payments) live under Billing → Tax reports (and related billing surfaces), not as every card on the Financial tab. CPD / AHPRA learning reports live under CPD.

Generating a report on demand
- Open Reports from the main navigation.
- Choose a section (Financial, Clinical, Practice, or Compliance).
- Set the date range where the report needs one (some aging and “this month” reports use a fixed window).
- Review the on-screen metrics.
- Use the card’s export actions for CSV, PDF, or Excel where offered.
Scheduling reports
Automate email delivery for supported report types (for example GST summary, aged receivables, utilisation, no-shows, demographics, retention, note completion, MHCP tracking, BAS, tax summary, super guarantee, WorkCover, and contractor payments — the exact list is what the schedule form offers).
- Go to Settings → Scheduled reports (or start from a report action that offers Schedule).
- Choose the report type, frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly), format (PDF, CSV, or Excel), and recipients.
- Save. Runs are tracked so you can see last run and next run.
Scheduled report automation is available on Essentials, Pro, and Enterprise. Student plans generate on demand only. Scheduled emails never include full client PHI — summaries are de-identified for safety.
Weekly unpaid / aged receivables and monthly GST summaries are common schedules for practice managers and accountants.
Pinned reports
Pin reports you use often:
- Open a report card that supports pin.
- Use the Pin control.
- Pinned items appear in the pinned section for one-click return.
Period comparison
Where a report filter bar offers Compare, you can compare the current period with the previous period of the same length. Not every report card exposes compare — use it when the control is shown.
PHI redaction
Roles that must not see clinical identifiers (for example accountants in many practices) receive report data with client names and other sensitive fields redacted server-side. Financial totals remain usable without exposing clinical detail.
Export formats
| Format | Best for |
|---|---|
| Sharing with stakeholders, printing, formal records | |
| CSV | Spreadsheets and accounting imports |
| Excel (XLSX) | Formatted analysis |
Sharing reports
- Email scheduled reports to internal or external recipients you choose.
- Only share identifiable client information with people who have a legitimate need under the Privacy Act 1988.
Reports with identifiable client information are subject to Privacy Act protections. Prefer de-identified or role-redacted exports when sharing outside the clinical team.
Who can use reports
Practice owners, practice managers, and accountants typically use financial and practice reports across the organisation. Practitioners (and interns under supervision) use clinical activity reports for their caseload; owners and supervisors can view wider clinical reporting. Export follows the same access as viewing. Scheduling is limited to roles that can manage organisation report automation (owners and managers in the default role set).
