Home
Home is your personal desktop: useful app shortcuts and live widgets over a quiet room background. The bottom toolbar gives you access to the rest of Praxi.
Start with three things
- Open your calendar. Select its desktop shortcut, or choose Clinical → Calendar in the toolbar.
- Check your tasks. Select Tasks in the toolbar to review, edit and complete tasks beside your current work.
- Find something. Select the magnifying glass and start typing. Search finds pages and records. Choose Keep open in panel to keep it beside your work.

Choose your desktop
Use Clinical, Practice and Team at the top of Home. Each has its own arrangement. Clinical supports client work, Practice supports reception and practice management, and Team supports communication and professional development. Your role determines the starting desktop and available features. Switching desktops does not change your organisation or permissions.
Swipe horizontally across an empty desktop area to switch. With the desktop surface itself focused, use the left and right arrow keys. The named buttons remain available for touch, mouse and keyboard users.
Arrange your day
Right-click or press and hold an empty desktop area, then choose Add apps & widgets. Drag app icons directly and move widgets by their top edge. Drag a widget's bottom corner to resize it; the preview snaps to the desktop grid. You can also focus the resize control and use the arrow keys, or choose Small, Medium or Large from the widget's context menu. Arrangements are saved for each desktop. Restore arrangement brings back its starting layout, with an undo option if you change your mind.

Return from a page
The Home door icon takes you back to your desktop. Each page has a slim header: Minimise returns to the desktop and keeps the page in the toolbar; Close removes the open page, keeping pinned favourites. Save or cancel any unsaved edits before leaving. On phones, Desktop minimises the page and Page actions contains the close option. Utility panels keep their own close and pin controls.
Appearance and help
Open your photo or initials and choose Appearance → Make it your own for room or plain backgrounds, glass or solid surfaces, lighting and reduced motion. Toolbar labels can be shown separately. The room background is atmosphere; app icons, widgets and the toolbar are the controls you use.
