Registration & Invitations
Praxi uses an invitation-only registration system to ensure a secure and managed onboarding experience for every practice. New users must receive an invitation code from their practice administrator or a Praxi platform administrator before they can create an account.
How Invitation Codes Work
Invitation codes are unique, single-use codes that grant access to the Praxi registration process. Each code is tied to a specific email address and expires after 7 days from the date it was issued.
| Property | Detail |
|---|---|
| Format | Alphanumeric code (e.g., XKPD4729) |
| Usage | Single-use only |
| Expiry | 7 days from issue |
| Tied to | A specific email address |
| Issued by | Practice owners or Praxi platform admins |
Receiving an Invitation
When a practice owner or administrator invites you to join Praxi, you will receive an email containing:
- A welcome message from the practice
- Your unique invitation code
- A direct link that opens Praxi's setup page with your invitation code pre-filled
within a few minutes. The email is sent from noreply@praxi.au. :::
Registering with an Invitation Code
Follow these steps to complete your registration:
- Click the registration link in your invitation email, or navigate to app.praxi.au/setup and enter your code manually
- The registration page validates your code and pre-populates your email address
- Complete the Setup Wizard:
- Account details -- set your password and confirm your email
- Personal details -- full name, preferred name, contact number
- Professional details (practitioners only) -- AHPRA number, qualifications, Medicare provider number
- Notification preferences -- choose how you want to receive alerts
- Click Complete Setup to finalise your account
- You are redirected to the Praxi dashboard, ready to begin
The invitation code is automatically redeemed when you complete the setup wizard. It cannot be used again.
Expired or Invalid Codes
If your invitation code has expired or is no longer valid:
- You will see a message on the registration page indicating the code is expired or invalid
- Contact your practice administrator to request a new invitation
- The administrator can resend or generate a fresh invitation from Settings > Users
- New codes are valid for another 7 days
for a specific person and email address. Sharing codes may result in the invitation being revoked. :::
Requesting Access (Interest Form)
If you visit app.praxi.au/setup without an invitation code and the platform is set to invitation-only mode, you will see an interest form instead of the registration page.
The interest form allows you to:
- Enter your name and email address
- Provide your practice name and role
- Include a brief message about why you are interested in Praxi
- Submit the form to request access
A member of the Praxi team will review your request and, if approved, send you an invitation code via email. Response times vary but you can typically expect to hear back within 1-2 business days.
Data Security
Privacy Act 1988. All account data and health information is encrypted at rest. Invitation codes are single-use and time-limited to prevent unauthorised access. Never share your credentials or invitation code with others. :::
For Practice Administrators
