Pathway Programmes
Pathway programmes allow you to define, assign, and track structured multi-session intervention programmes. Common uses include forensic rehabilitation, behaviour support plans, return-to-work programmes, and mandated intervention pathways.
Overview
Unlike ad-hoc appointment scheduling, pathway programmes deliver a defined sequence of content and monitoring to enrolled clients — with progress, comprehension, and risk visible to the treating practitioner throughout.
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| Programme creation | Build a programme from learning modules and assessment instruments |
| Sequenced steps | Order homework, learning modules, assessments, exercises, check-ins, and timed delays |
| Intensity tracks | Standard, moderate, or intensive delivery |
| Client enrolment | Link clients directly or via invitation codes for the Praxi Pathway app |
| Module tracking | Track client progress through learning modules with comprehension scores |
| Check-ins | Monitor client well-being through regular check-in submissions with composite risk scoring |
| Assessments | Link standardised assessment instruments and track scores and trends over time |
| Risk monitoring | Risk-level classification from check-in data, visible on the programme dashboard |
Getting Started
Creating a Programme
- Navigate to Pathway
- Click Create Programme
- Enter the programme name and description (e.g., "Family Violence Intervention Programme")
- Choose the learning modules and assessment instruments the programme delivers
- Set the intensity track (standard, moderate, or intensive) and the share policy for programme data
- Save the programme
Sequencing Content
Programme content is delivered as an ordered sequence of steps. Each step is one of:
| Step type | What the client receives |
|---|---|
| Learning module | Psychoeducation content with comprehension check |
| Assessment | A standardised assessment to complete |
| Homework | An assigned task |
| Exercise | A prescribed exercise |
| Check-in | A structured well-being check-in |
| Delay | A timed gap before the next step |
Enrolling a Client
Clients can join a programme in two ways:
Direct linking:
- Open the programme and use the invite option
- Select the client from your practice
- The client is enrolled as a participant and begins receiving programme content
Invitation code:
- Open the programme and click Generate Invitation Code
- Share the 6-character code with the client (e.g., via the Client Portal or in session)
- The client enters the code in the Praxi Pathway app to join the programme
Key Features
Progress Tracking
Open a programme and select a participant to see their progress at a glance:
- Modules completed versus available, with average comprehension scores
- Total time spent on programme content
- Check-in history with composite scores and current streak
- Risk level distribution across check-ins
- Assessment scores, latest severity, and trend (improving, stable, or worsening)
Elevated-risk check-ins are flagged so you can act early.
Using Progress Data in Reports
Participant progress data — module completion, check-in and risk history, and assessment trends — gives you the evidence base for progress reports to courts, NDIS planners, WorkCover, and other mandating bodies. Compose the formal document with Praxi's report writing tools; see Psychology Reports.
Multiple Participants
Enrol as many clients as the programme needs — each participant's progress, check-ins, and assessment results are tracked individually.
Each client's record only shows their own progress. Participants never see information about other clients enrolled in the same programme.
Permissions
The Pathway area is available to behaviour support practitioners and supervisors, and requires the forensic pathway feature to be enabled for your practice. Within it, programme creation, enrolment, and progress views are governed by pathway permissions held by those roles.
