Configure your public Referrer Page
Every Praxi practice can publish a public-facing referrer landing page at
https://app.praxi.au/refer/<your-practice-slug> that GPs, NDIS plan managers,
and large vendor organisations can use to understand how to refer patients to
your practice.
The page is off by default — nothing appears publicly until you publish it. You control every section, every pathway, and whether wait-times or vendor-onboarding details are disclosed.
What appears on the page
When published, the referrer page shows:
- Hero — your practice trading name, logo, and an optional tagline.
- What we treat — service types your practice offers (auto-populated from your Service Catalogue).
- How to refer — one card per enabled pathway:
- Online referral form — deep-link to your public enquiry form.
- Secure email — your practice's intake email address for referral letters. Your team reviews each letter and adds the referral.
- HealthLink / Medical-Objects — EDI secure messaging instructions.
- Fax — your practice fax line.
- Phone — your intake phone line.
- Referrer portal — invite link for GPs to track every referral they've sent you.
- Wait times (opt-in) — average days from accepted intake to first appointment. Anonymisation-guarded: hidden if you've had fewer than 5 accepted intakes in the last 90 days.
- Funding accepted — chips for Medicare, NDIS, EAP, DVA, WorkCover, TAC, Private (you choose which to surface).
- Vendor onboarding (opt-in) — ABN, GST status, service agreement PDF, compliance attestations. Only appears after a practice owner has explicitly approved the docs for public release.
- Footer — last-updated date plus links to your practice privacy and terms pages.
Configuring the page
Open Settings → Referrer Page (under the Organisation section).
1. Publish
The top card is the Publish toggle. While off, the public URL returns a 404. Toggle on when your hero copy and pathways are ready. The card shows the live public URL with a Copy link and Preview button so you can verify how it looks before publishing.
2. Hero
- Headline (max 255 chars): the largest text on the page. Defaults to your practice trading name.
- Subline (max 500 chars): an optional sentence under the headline.
3. How they can refer
Six switches — one per pathway. Toggle on the ones your practice uses; the others are hidden from the public page entirely.
| Pathway | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Online referral form | Card deep-linking to /enquire/[your-slug]?source=gp_referral. |
| Secure email | Card with a structured mailto: link the GP can compose to. |
| HealthLink / Medical-Objects | Static blurb — referrers should contact your practice for the EDI code. |
| Fax | Static blurb — display your fax number prominently. |
| Phone | Static blurb — promotes your intake phone line. |
| Referrer portal | Invite link to the referrer portal sign-up flow. |
4. Funding accepted
Multi-select chips. Each selected source appears as a chip on the public page
(formatted via the standard label map — NDIS, MEDICARE, etc.).
5. Wait times
A single toggle — off by default. When off, wait times never appear on your public page. When on, the average wait appears only if you've had 5 or more accepted intakes in the last 90 days (anonymisation guard).
The number shown is rounded to one decimal place and computed from the time between an intake arriving and the first confirmed or completed appointment for the matched client.
6. Vendor onboarding
For large organisations and NDIS plan managers adding your practice as a vendor. When not yet approved, no vendor details appear publicly. To approve:
- Upload your vendor agreement PDF, insurance certificate, and any other compliance documents from the Referrer Page settings.
- From the Referrer Page settings, click Approve vendor docs for public display. Only practice owners and practice managers can do this.
- Once approved, the public page surfaces ABN, GST registration status, download link to the service agreement, and a "compliance attestations acknowledged" badge.
You can revoke approval at any time — the docs are immediately hidden from the public page.
Sharing your referrer URL
Once published, share the URL anywhere you'd direct a referrer:
- Email signatures —
Refer a patient: https://app.praxi.au/refer/<your-slug> - Business cards — short and memorable.
- Faxback templates — include the URL on your printed referral pad.
- GP CME events — bring printed copies of the Referral Pack PDF (see below).
Downloadable Referral Pack PDF
Every published referrer page also offers a branded, downloadable Referral Pack PDF. The PDF mirrors the public page sections (hero, how to refer, services, funding, vendor onboarding) formatted for printing. Use it as a handout at GP events or include it in your practice info pack.
Frequently asked
Can I publish the page before our wait times look good? Yes — wait times are off by default. Publish the page with hero copy and pathways only, and turn the wait-time toggle on later.
Does the referrer page expose any client data? No. The page never contains PHI. Service names and funding types come from your Service Catalogue and practice-level Medicare settings — never from a specific client record.
What if a GP visits the URL before we publish? They see a friendly "Referrer page not found" message with a link back to praxi.au. No 500 errors, no stack traces.
How often does the public page refresh? The page is server-cached for 5 minutes. Changes you save in Settings become visible to public visitors within that window.
