Praxi is completing Services Australia conformance testing for Medicare Online Claiming. Production claiming becomes available once Services Australia grants the Notice of Integration (NOI). This page describes the workflow so your practice can prepare.

Use How you'll claim, step 5 of Set up Medicare through Praxi. An owner or manager records the agreement after Location IDs have been issued.

Record your bulk billing agreement​

  1. Open How you'll claim in the Medicare setup wizard.
  2. Enter your Agreement number.
  3. Choose Effective from.
  4. Select Record agreement. The agreement covers the Location IDs in your setup.
  5. Continue to Check and go live.

Bulk-bill claims wait until the agreement covers the claiming location. Your practice agreement does not replace the client's assignment of benefit: record bulk-bill consent before every bulk-billed claim.

Set preferences when using Tyro​

Tyro handles the bulk billing agreement, so you do not record a Praxi Location ID agreement here. Use How you'll claim to save your claiming preferences. You still record DB4 consent in Praxi before bulk billing.
