Rating Your Goal Progress

Each treatment goal on your Progress page has a self-rating star scale — a 1-to-10 scale where you can tell your practitioner how you feel you're going, in your own words, between sessions.

These ratings sit alongside the formal outcome measures (see Tracking Your Progress) and give your practitioner a quick read on how things are landing for you in everyday life.

How to rate a goal

  1. Open Progress in the portal menu.
  2. Find the goal you want to rate.
  3. Tap the stars under "How do you feel about your progress on this goal?" — 1 means "this isn't where I want it to be" and 10 means "I'm in a really good place with this." Pick the number that feels right.
  4. (Optional) Type a short note — a sentence about what's going well, what tripped you up, or anything you want your practitioner to know before your next session. Notes are limited to 500 characters and are private to you and your treating team.
  5. Tap Submit Rating.

You can rate the same goal as often as you like — once a week, after a specific event, or whenever something shifts. Each submission is saved with the date so your practitioner can see how your sense of progress changes over time.

You can't rate a goal that's already marked complete — that goal is finished, and the slider hides itself.

Why it's useful

  • It picks up things questionnaires miss. A K-10 score is a snapshot of your last fortnight — your goal rating is specific to that goal, in your voice.
  • It makes the next session faster. Your practitioner sees your recent ratings before you walk in, so you can spend session time on the issue rather than recapping the week.
  • It tracks the in-between weeks. Many goals shift between sessions, not during them. The rating captures that movement so it doesn't get lost.

When your practitioner sees it

Ratings appear in your practitioner's view of your file straight after you submit — there's no batching or overnight delay. Most practitioners check ratings in the day or two before your appointment so they can plan the session around what's actually changed.

If something feels urgent and you wouldn't normally wait until the next appointment, send a message via the Messages page or, in a crisis, use the Safety resources in your portal.

Privacy

Self-ratings are part of your clinical record. They're stored under Australian privacy law with the same protections as the rest of your portal data — see Privacy and Security for the details.
